the story behind Indian Springs Montana

More Than a Place to Live—A Place to Belong

Our Story

Indian Springs Montana blends rich local history with modern mountain living. Once a working ranch in the Tobacco Valley, the property has grown into a thoughtfully planned golf and residential community, known for its natural beauty, warm hospitality, and laid-back charm.

Early Years

The area surrounding Indian Springs was once home to the 69 Ranch, a well-known site from the late 1800s. Cattle grazing and logging played a large role in drawing settlers to this valley.

With its fertile lands and relatively mild climate, the region soon became a vital contributor to the American West’s economy. The native-grown tobacco, paired with early trade activity, gave the Tobacco Valley its name.

A Mountain Valley Oasis

In the mid-2000s, the unique setting of Eureka, MT captured the attention of Canadian developer Schickedanz West. With years of experience building premium golf course communities across Canada, they saw the potential for something special at Indian Springs: an 18-hole championship course framed by Rocky Mountain peaks, and a community designed for nature lovers, golfers, and anyone seeking a quieter pace of life.
