The course has been getting rave reviews, the fairways are about as good as they’ve been in years, and the greens are rolling true. Thanks to our Superintendent, Dwight Stump, and the whole grounds crew team for their effort in opening the course in such great shape. We still have a ways to go on getting the course exactly where we want it, but we are making progress.
I’m happy to say we’ve been seeing more of the female gender swinging clubs and hanging out up at the Ranch. Which is just in time for our newly recreated Ladies Golf Union. Nine holes of play & socializing on Wednesday evenings.
Also, our Indian Springs Ranch Membership is growing!…We just hit the 62 mark! Local discount rates apply, and it is a steal for all the perks involved so tell your buddies. Men, women, and juniors are all welcome.
Tournaments: We would like to start the ISR Match Play Championship. Please let us now your thoughts on having this event every year starting in the spring of the season. Cinco de Mayo Scramble is right around the corner and Men’s league teams are already shaping up guys starting to get there practice time in.
Time to sharpen your game? Spring is the best time to tune up your game. If you’re interested please inquire within the Golf Shop. Group clinics are taking place and private lessons are being scheduled.
Quick marshal note: Pace of play is always a hot topic at any golf course. It’s simple, please be courteous to others, move along in a timely manner and keep up with the group in front of you. We love our 12 minute tee times so don’t crowd anyone off the first tee. Thank you!
Why do we Play?

Hey it looks like the president is enjoying his golf in between managing this great country…..found this online a few minutes ago though we would share! We are open!
Some critics of President Trump and the news media argue that political commentators have set an unusually low bar for Trump. At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the news division of Fox News sent out this “news alert”:
At The New York Times, Eric Lipton and Noah Weiland have a more substantive critique of Trump’s frequent visits to Trump-branded properties, including another meal at his hotel in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night — the only restaurant he’s eaten at in D.C. while president. For Trump, “it was just another weekend with a presidential-size spotlight on his family’s business outlets,” they write. “White House officials have said Mr. Trump goes to his clubs and restaurants because he is comfortable there, but critics increasingly argue that the visits are priceless advertising and that Mr. Trump and his family are using the presidency as a way to enrich themselves.”
“It is normal for presidents to get out — and it can be a boost for small businesses across the city and the country,” Robert Weissman, president of Public Citizen, told The Times. “But with President Trump, he spends his down time as a walking advertisement for his businesses. It is a major departure from historic norm and degradation of the office.”
Again, Trump had a tough week, and a few rounds of golf is a healthy way to blow off steam. But while Trump did not travel to his Florida club this weekend, and he may have spent part of his golf outings holding meetings, he clearly did not spend the “weekend working at the White House.” And even if he had, outside of CNN, it’s doesn’t usually merit a “news alert” when somebody does his job. by Peter Weber
